Scholar from Karnataka learning at UC Berkeley reported lacking in U.S.

A 22-year-old Indian postgraduate pupil has gone lacking within the U.S. state of California, prompting efforts by authorities to find him.

Saketh Sreenivasaiah, a UC Berkeley pupil hailing from Karnataka, disappeared on Tuesday (February 10), native media reported, quoting the police.

His backpack, together with his passport and laptop computer, was discovered on a doorstep within the Park Hills neighbourhood, The Berkeley Scanner information portal reported.

The Indian consulate in San Francisco expressed deep concern about his disappearance.

“…deeply involved concerning the disappearance of Saketh Sreenivasaiah, an Indian postgraduate pupil of UC Berkeley, hailing from the State of Karnataka,” it stated in an X put up.

“The Consulate is in contact with the household and in addition is in touch with the involved native authorities to find the coed,” it added.

Mr. Sreenivasaiah was final seen within the 1700 block of Dwight Means, the report quoted police as saying.

He’s described as roughly 6 ft 1 inch tall, weighing round 73 kilograms, with brief black hair and brown eyes. Police urged anybody with details about Mr. Sreenivasaiah to inform native regulation enforcement.
