The U.S. Division of Defence on Saturday (March 14, 2026) recognized the six U.S. airmen who have been killed in a airplane crash over Iraq.
The airmen have been on a KC-135 aerial refuelling tanker supporting U.S. assaults on Iran. The crash concerned one other plane, however was not the results of hostile or pleasant hearth and is below investigation, the navy has stated.

Three airmen have been assigned to the sixth Air Refueling Wing, stationed at MacDill Air Drive Base close to Tampa, Florida: Main John A. Klinner, 33, of Auburn, Alabama. Captain Ariana G. Savino, 31, of Covington, Washington. Technical Sergeant Ashley B. Pruitt, 34, of Bardstown, Kentucky.
The opposite three airmen have been within the 121st Air Refueling Wing at Rickenbacker Air Nationwide Guard Base in Columbus, Ohio: Captain Seth R. Koval, 38, of Mooresville, Indiana. Captain Curtis J. Angst, 30, of Wilmington, Ohio. Technical Sergeant Tyler H. Simmons, 28, of Columbus, Ohio.
