Peace talks between the United States, Russia and Ukraine are on pause amid the Iran warfare, Izvestia reported on Thursday (March 19, 2026), citing Russian officers.
Izvestia mentioned the Kremlin had confirmed the pause and that the Iran warfare might push Kyiv in direction of compromise.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov mentioned Russian Presidential Envoy Kirill Dmitriev would proceed engaged on funding and financial cooperation, however the trilateral talks had been on pause.
“Kirill Dmitriev continues work. The trilateral group is on pause,” Peskov was quoted as saying by Izvestia.
