29 lifeless as Russian navy aircraft crashes in Crimea: TASS

A Russian Antonov-26 navy aircraft crashed whereas flying over the Crimean peninsula, killing 29 individuals, the TASS information company reported Wednesday (March 1, 2026), quoting Russia’s Defence Ministry.

“On 31 March at round 18:00 Moscow time, contact was misplaced with the An-26 navy transport plane while it was on a scheduled flight over the Crimean Peninsula,” the Defence Ministry mentioned.

“The search and rescue group has positioned the crash website of the An-26 plane. In response to experiences from the scene, the six crew members and 23 passengers on board had been killed,” the Ministry mentioned.
