Mojtaba Khamenei says Iran will defend its ‘nuclear, missile capabilities’; U.S. suffered ‘disgraceful defeat’

Iran’s supreme chief stated on Thursday (April 30, 2026) that the Islamic Republic will defend its “nuclear and missile capabilities” as a nationwide asset, at the same time as U.S. President Donald Trump tries to get a deal on these points.

Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei spoke in a written assertion learn aloud on Iranian state tv, as he has since he took over after the February 28 airstrike that killed his 86-year-old father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
