Given the tumultuous traits reshaping labour markets internationally, lifelong studying must be a central pillar of governments’ financial and social insurance policies, the Worldwide Labour Organisation mentioned on Tuesday (Might 5, 2026). Rising digitalisation, synthetic intelligence (AI), the inexperienced transition, and demographic shifts had been recognized as a number of the components driving this shift.

In a report launched in Geneva on Tuesday (Might 5, 2026), the ILO emphasised that lifelong studying is about greater than employability and productiveness. “It underpins respectable work, real innovation, energetic citizenship, and social inclusion, making it a cornerstone of any efficient technique for sustainable development and improvement,” the report famous.
