The Division of Battle introduced on Tuesday (June 16, 2026) that the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) will formally restore its identify to the U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM).

It was initially established on January 1, 1947 by President Harry S. Truman. It was named US Indo-Pacific Command in 2018.
