Trilateral framework pact by Lebanon, Israel and U.S.
Lebanon, Israel and america on Friday (June 26, 2026) signed a trilateral framework settlement aimed toward paving the best way for a peace deal between the 2 long-time West Asia adversaries.
The settlement — which features a pilot effort during which Lebanese troopers take management of two areas occupied by Israel, in addition to a course of aimed toward disarming Hezbollah — is the results of 5 rounds of talks within the U.S. capital.
The deal “begins to place in place a framework for lasting peace and safety,” U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on the signing ceremony, noting: “It’s the start of the start. There’s loads of work forward.”
