Iran confirms Revolutionary Guard navy chief Alireza Tangsiri’s demise

Iran on Monday confirmed the demise of Revolutionary Guard navy chief Alireza Tangsiri. Israel had claimed on March 26 that it killed Tangsiri, a rear admiral within the Iran navy.

A press release from the Guard on Monday, learn on state tv, mentioned Tangsiri “joined the ranks of Allah as a result of severity of his accidents.”

It praised his efforts, notably in serving to Iran preserve a chokehold on the Strait of Hormuz.

“Each fighter is a Tangsiri, and we are going to see what surprises they’ll deliver within the days and months forward,” the assertion added.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz had mentioned he had been killed together with different senior naval commanders in a strike in a single day.
