U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Hezbollah in a press release Sunday of making an attempt to plunge Lebanon “again into chaos.”
Mr. Rubio denounced what he referred to as Hezbollah’s “reckless name to overthrow Lebanon’s democratically elected authorities” and stated the pro-Iran armed group was “actively making an attempt to pull Lebanon again into chaos and destruction.”
Naim Qassem, the chief of Hezbollah, stated earlier that “the folks have the best to go down onto the streets and to carry down the federal government” in response to Israeli strikes and US sanctions on the Al-Qard Al-Hassan monetary establishment.
