U.S. President Donald Trump says his administration will faucet the USA’ Strategic Petroleum Reserve to attempt to cut back gasoline costs which have risen as a result of Iran battle.

Throughout an interview on Wednesday (March 11, 2026) with WKRC Native 12 in Cincinnati, Mr. Trump was requested about tapping the reserve and mentioned, “Nicely, we’ll do this after which we’ll fill it up.”

He added, “Proper now we’ll cut back it a bit of bit, and that brings the costs down.”

He did not specify what number of barrels of oil the U.S. would launch.
