China on Tuesday (April 14, 2026) termed the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz as a “harmful and irresponsible transfer” and requested Washington and Tehran to honour the ceasefire.

Beijing additionally denied aiding Iran militarily and threatened to hit again if U.S. President Donald Trump hikes tariffs in opposition to China on the allegation of serving to Tehran.
