4 ambulances belonging to a Jewish ‌group organisation in north London had been set ablaze ​in a suspected antisemitic hate ⁠crime, police mentioned on Monday (March 23, 2026).

“An investigation has been launched after 4 ambulances belonging to the Jewish Neighborhood ‌Ambulance service had been set on fireplace in Golders Inexperienced,” Metropolitan Police mentioned in ‌an announcement.

“Officers stay on scene and ‌the ⁠arson assault is being handled as ⁠an antisemitic hate crime.”

The ambulances belonged to Hatzola, a not-for-profit volunteer organisation that responds to medical emergencies.

The London ​Hearth Brigade mentioned ‌it despatched six fireplace engines and 40 firefighters to the scene. Calls from residents had been recorded at 01:40 GMT.

“A number of cylinders on the ‌autos exploded and brought on home windows to interrupt ​in an adjoining block of flats. No accidents are reported.”

The London Hearth ⁠Brigade mentioned the hearth was below management by 03:06 GMT.
