NASA on Friday (June 5, 2026) ordered astronauts to take shelter after a recent leak was detected aboard the Worldwide Area Station.

The 5 astronauts moved into the SpaceX capsule that’s docked on the station whereas cosmonauts labored to repair the leak, which is on the Russian aspect of the orbiting laboratory.

The choice was made “out of an abundance of warning,” NASA spokesperson Bethany Stevens stated through X.

That a part of the house station has suffered from cracks and leaks through the years. NASA stated Roscosmos determined to do a extra in depth restore after recent leaks have been discovered.
