No less than three militants have been killed and 4 others injured on Thursday (February 19, 2026) after unknown gunmen ambushed a militant group that had earlier killed two authorities officers in northwest Pakistan, police mentioned.
The unknown assailants challenged the militants close to Tikawara in DI Khan district, they mentioned.

The slain militants have been concerned in assaults on the Yarik Police Station and the Customs Home within the district and the killing of a policeman and a customs official, police mentioned.
The remaining militants fled the scene, abandoning their weapons.
Safety has been tightened in and round Tikawara, and investigations are underway to find out the identities of the attackers and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
