The Central Board of Secondary Schooling (CBSE) on Thursday (March 5, 2026) cancelled Class 10 Board exams scheduled until March 11 within the West Asia amid escalating tensions within the area, officers mentioned.

The CBSE will announce the mode of declaration of outcomes for these candidates, they mentioned.

“Because of the present scenario in elements of the Center East — Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE, the board has determined to cancel class 10 exams scheduled until March 11,” mentioned CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj.

For Class 12, the examination scheduled on March 7 has been postponed and the scenario shall be reviewed for future exams.

Earlier, the board had postponed the examination scheduled on March 2, 5 and 6 within the area for each the lessons.
