Explosions within the western Ukrainian metropolis of LKviv killed a policewoman and wounded at the least 15 individuals in a single day in what native authorities on Sunday (February 22, 2026) referred to as an “act of terror”.
The blasts occurred shortly after police responded to a report of a break-in at a store within the metropolis centre round 12:30 a.m. (2230 GMT Saturday), in line with the Lviv regional prosecutor’s workplace.

A primary explosion struck because the preliminary patrol arrived, adopted by a second blast moments later when one other crew reached the scene.
Officers stated a 23-year-old lady police officer was killed, whereas a patrol automotive and a civilian automobile have been broken.
“That is positively an act of terror,” Lviv mayor Andriy Sadovy stated in a Fb submit. “Now we have 15 individuals at the moment receiving medical support, a few of them are in very severe situation.
“One policewoman died. My condolences to the household and shut ones,” he added.
